Okay, so me and my boyfriend have this ongoing thing about me taking random pictures of myself.  I am the type of person who likes taking pictures as often as I can.  I don't take enough pictures but I try to bring the camera along whenever we go to some special event, outing, a family get-together, or just a fun-filled date night.  I love taking pictures of me and my boyfriend and the places that life takes us together.  He however, is opposed to my picture-taking.  When he sees me pull the camera out, he's like, "oh my gosh, don't get all crazy with the camera now".  That might just be a guy for ya or maybe it's just him.  I don't know, but I still try and take a few good pics and make him grin and bear it.  I wanna look back 20 years from now and see how far we've come and the places we've been.  I can never understand why taking pictures of LIFE gets him so irritated.

So anyway, I take lots of pics, or I try to.  This includes taking pics of myself, and that's usually like maybe a dozen or less at a time.  I usually take pics of myself on nights that I get all dolled up for a date or going out, or when I have a really cute outfit on and did something cute with my hair.  I work a lot, and on any given day, my hair and clothing are usually hell.  I immediately wear my jogging pants and tshirts when I get home from work during the week, unless I'm doing something that day.  And my hair...oh my gosh, forget it.  It's so fried and my ends are so damaged it's ridiculous.  So, when I have days off from work, I really try to use some extra TLC to myself, my clothing, my hair, my makeup, everything.  It feels good getting all prettied up when I actually have the time to do it.

I take these pics of myself to make sure I have some cute and current pics to either post on my FB profile or just to have to show how cute I felt that day. It's fun for me.  Gives me that boost of confidence that I need.  I don't know if some people think that's self-conceited, but I don't think it is at all.  If I did it every single day, then yeah...but this is like a once a week occurrence.
